HERO Huddles
Hero Huddles is a great way for us to encourage caring relationships within our building, create a stronger sense of community and individuality, as well as increase knowledge in adults and students.
Most certified staff members in the building have a “Huddle” of students assigned to them. Each huddle is made up of students from kindergarten to fifth grade. There are approximately 14 students per huddle.
Huddles meet on the first Friday of every month, with the exception of March and April. Due to the scheduling of Spring Break we will have two huddles in March and none in April. On our Hero Huddle days, students will meet in their huddles for about 30 minutes to complete an activity/lesson. Each activity/lesson is designed around community building, character traits, and the social and emotional competencies:
* Community Building * Responsibility
* Respect * Fairness
* Gratitude * Our Actions Affect Others
* Caring
* Self-Regulation
