Hello! My name is Ashley Hergott. I am the counselor at Harvest Hills Elementary School. This will be my fourteenth year in education. I spent my first six years as a special education teacher and this will be my eighth year as a school counselor. I love being able to help students navigate through this crazy thing called life. We go through so many experiences at different ages and I feel blessed to be able to help students learn and grow through these times.
My husband and I have three children. Jacob is 10, Collins is 7 and Noah just turned 5. We have lived in Gretna for the last 13 years and absolutely love it here!
As the counselor, I have the privilege to work with every single student in the school. I plan on working with students at the classroom level, small group level, and the short-term individual counseling level if needed. To learn more about what each of these services look like, please click on the individual links below.

Need to get out of the house but not sure what to do or where to go? Check out this page filled with links to different family fun activities in the Gretna and Omaha areas.
*NOTE: Gretna Public Schools is not in affiliation with these businesses.
As a school counselor part of my job is to help families who may need some extra supports. Sometimes these supports are in the form of finding resources, sometimes they are temporary and sometimes they are long term. Whatever the case may be, I am here to help in any way I can to decrease stress and worry for you.
If at any time your family requires some extra support, please do not hesitate to fill out this CONFIDENTIAL form so I know how to help and what resources to gather for you.
Hero Huddles is a fun experience that Harvest Hills provides for the students. Click on the image to learn more about this program!
Each month staff members are asked to nominate students that they believe show our HERO code (Helping, Encouraging, Respecting, Others), always doing their job, and at times going above and beyond expectations.
The last Friday of each month these students get to invite one special guest to attend a celebratory breakfast celebration. At this celebration, students receive a certificate and a yard sign to show the world that they are a Harvest Hills HERO!
