Regular Invitational Tournaments:

January 20 - No Tournament (Work Week - Arrange schedule with coach’s availability)

January 27  - GBN Tournament - No bus (Meet at GBN at 7:00 a.m.) (Meeting on 1/22)

IHSA State Series

February 3- Regionals (Prospect)  (MANDATORY 1 HR MEETING ON JANUARY 29)

February 10 - Sectionals (Downers Grove South)  Showcase on February 7 (SAC) 4-5

February 16, 17 - State (Peoria) Leave Thursday - Sunday

March 3 - National Qualifier (GBN) - OO, INFO, DUO, POI, EXT (US and International), HI, DI

We will be figuring out our Regional Team (1 per event) and announce no later than January 27th

Freshman Activity Fair: The fair will take place on January 31st (6:30-8:00) in the Field House.  I would need you around 6:15.   Who would like to help recruit for next season???

Awards:  ​​Individual trophies will be given to the top 6 competitors in each event (medals for all other finalists), based on FINAL ROUNDS.  Any Next-In finalists will receive medals as well.  The top 6 teams will also be awarded a trophy.

TIME ISSUES:  We have to be serious to be within the time limit.  In the IHSA series you will go down for every :30 you are over.  

Work Week:  Remember, there is no tournament on January 20th (Finals week) If you can arrange coaching with your coach that would be great.  Remember, some don’t get out after your last final.  Work it out with them.  

Extemp/Radio:  You will prep rounds 1 and 2 and choose one for round 3.  Prep for finals.

Donuts:  Eric (2 dozen) 

Snacks:  Sean

Concessions:  We are kindly providing donuts and snacks BUT we do not provide lunch or lend money.  Sooooo, you have to bring your lunch from home or have money to buy at the concession stand.  It is a long day - think ahead for lunch

Finals Etiquette:  When you are seeing the final round stay for all performers.  Very rude to have a group get up and leave after hearing someone from our team.  May reflect poorly on them.  May see other teams do this but not us.
