Finals - All Events
Final round: DDA, DI, ES, HDA, HI, IMP, INF, OC, OD, OO, POE, PRO, RS, SOS
Radio and Extemporaneous Speaking: Students will prep at the tournament for Rounds 1 and 2; they can use either prepared speech in Round 3. There will be prep for Finals.
Ballots: We will be paper ballots for this tournament so you will neatly fill them out before the first round. (Name, Event, Title/author and section number) Black or blue pen only. BE NEAT and KEEP SHEETS NEAY!
Outfits: Men, we are getting a bit sloppy and it is not just me noticing. Shirts need to be tucked in, NO white, gym socks (dress socks that are matching), If you are wearing a black suit then you should have black shoes (not brown), NO gym shoes. Girls, make sure hair is out of face
Awards: You MUST see a final and come back to the cafeteria after finals so we can all go to awards together. You should not be hanging out anywhere else in the school
Coaching: TRY SOMETHING NEW! No Next-In Rounds. BE READY FOR EACH ROUND! Warm up before coaching and before each round on Saturday
Time: Most of you are getting there with time. Keep working on it. For some pieces, it is how you are doing it and not necessarily cutting material. Ask your coach
State of Mind: If you feel you will never or could never break for finals then it will be very difficult to make it happen. Everyone is capable of breaking into finals. Keep working! IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU’VE ALWAYS DONE, YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU’VE ALWAYS GOT!

Feb. 1 - GBN Tournament (No bus - meet at GBN by 7:00 a.m.)
IHSA State Series (1 per event)
February 8 - Regionals (GBN) No bus - meet at GBN by 7:00 am
February 15 - Sectionals (Downers Grove South)
February 21-22 - State (Peoria)
We will be figuring out our Regional Team (1 per event) and announce no later than Feb. 1
