Sparkler App for Families
A Fun Tool to Support Children's Development
Sparkler is a free mobile application for ALL Connecticut families with children ages 0 through 5. It offers over 1,000 engaging and fun activities for parents/guardians to complete with children. Each activity presents simple directions and tips for parents/caregivers about how activities can help a child practice a specific skill. The app also provides tools to monitor social-emotional, cognitive, communication, and physical development, including the Ages and Stages Questionnaire®. You can find more information about this app on the Sparkler CT webpage, including tutorials and brief videos. Additionally, these handouts include more information about the app in English and Spanish.
Download
If you have an Android smartphone or tablet, download Sparkler from the Google Play Store. If you use an iPhone or iPad, download Sparkler from the Apple App Store.
Register
Open the app and tap “Create a New Account.”
Use Glastonbury as the unique code.
Create your account: Enter your first and last name, as well as your phone number so we can support you.
Create a profile for your child: Sparkler offers content (play activities and screenings) based on children's ages and their prematurity if they are under 2, so it is important to share an accurate birth date.
