My role: While this course existed before I joined GS in 2013, I re-created this course from scratch in 2013 as the previous instructor did not leave behind any course materials. Around 2000-01, I re-created this course (again) by adopting a flip-the-classroom design. Students will now listen to lectures online (students choose 5 sets of video lectures out of a choice of 12). Meanwhile, classroom sessions are primarily reserved for interactive sessions that involved education apps on RStudio and project based learning in the R statistical language.

My role: I "created" the e-book by selected book chapters from 3 different textbooks. The course was first taught by 3 different instructors. When I started teaching it in Spring 2021, I added additional course materials - both readings and video lectures - to the course. I was responsible for converting the course from in-person to online asynchronous (since Spring 2024).
