I hope you're having a good Labor Day holiday today! Just a few announcements:
Announcement #1: I extended the deadline for your Chap 1 Mastering Chemistry Homework. The new deadline is 9/14. I highly recommend finishing the assignment sooner than later (since we have already finished lecturing on Chap 1), but in case you are having difficulty with using Mastering Chemistry I have given you extra time.
Announcement #2: I have updated the lab schedule on the website to show you the dates of each quiz. Remember: Generally speaking there will be a quiz at the start of every lab (except for Week 1, Week 11, and Week 13). I have pasted the updated lab schedule below at the bottom of this e-mail as well for your convenience.
Announcement #3: Quiz 1 will be in lab this week. You will need to be able to correctly identify the lab equipment shown on the lab equipment sheet included in your lab syllabus. The quiz will also cover material from your Chap 1 lecture notes and up to page 4 of Chap 2 lecture notes. The math review sheets included at the beginning of your lecture notes are for your own reference - we will go over these math topics gradually through the semester, but if you feel you are weak in the math, it doesn't hurt to read through those pages to strengthen those areas.
