Course Objectives
This course aims to provide students with opportunities to develop their academic reading and writing skills. Students will read texts on contemporary, real-world topics and write English summaries in response. They will also learn fundamental concepts of academic writing and analyze a variety of English-language genres. By the end of the course, students are expected to enpand their vocabulary, deepen their reading comprehension, understand the core principles of academic writing, and gain greater confidence in reading and writing academic English.
Teaching Methods
The course incorporates a series of classroom activities, including group discussions, group presentations, and writing tasks. Through thiese activities, students are expected to improve their reading skills and become more confident academic writers.
Course Description
In this course, students will learn to read and write in academic English. They will build a broad vocabulary base through reading selected articles and analyzing diverse genres commonly used in academic contexts. This knowledge will then be applied to their written assignments.
