Course Objectives
This course aims to equip students with essential English communication skills for various business contexts, covering topics such as cultural diversity, telephone conversations, presentations, meetings, negotiations, and business correspondence. By the end of the course, students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in common business language structures and vocabulary, enabling them to effectively apply their knowledge in real-world business settings.
Teaching Methods
Students will engage in practical activities to develop key business communication skills, including making and receiving telephone calls, delivering presentations, participating in meetings, negotiating deals, and composing business letters and documents. Oral drills and practice sessions focused on both communication and business skills will be conducted in class to enhance students' fluency and confidence in using Business English.
Course Description
Business English Communication (BEC) is a B2-level (upper-intermediate) course designed for students who have successfully completed the required Basic English courses in their first academic year. The course provides students with opportunities to practice business communication skills--listening, speaking, reading, and writing--while emphasizing workplace-relevant vocabulary and sentence structures.
