Camp Cleanup and Open House Day

Camp Cleanup (CANCELLED FOR 2020)

Every year on a Saturday, we wake camp up from the long, wet winter.

We create a list of specific jobs, and you sign up for whatever works best for you. We have everything from washing windows to organizing arts supplies. Everything you need will be ready for you. Plus we have water and snacks, too.

Make sure to wear your work clothes and bring your can-do attitude.

We'll start at 9am sharp and work until about noon. Water and lunch are provided!

Open House (CANCELLED FOR 2020)

At noon, it's time for the Summer Kickoff Open House. New families, veteran families, and all supporters are welcome! We'll have lunch (including veggie and gluten-free options) and low/no-carb beverages.

Everyone is welcome for the open house, even if you can't participate in the morning cleanup activities. Just make sure to sign up in the Open House section so we know how much food to prepare.

We'll play some games and raffle some of our new Camp Store merchandise, too!

Families and younger ones are welcome to help with cleanup starting at 11am. "Jobs" for families are easier so they can “help” just before joining to the BBQ. Remember, you don’t actually have to help with cleanup day to come to the open house. It just feels better if you do!

Other ways to help

If you can't make it, or if you want to do even more, consider helping out with supplies or equipment. Donations are greatly appreciated!

Here are some things the camp could use for Camp Clean Up Day and in the long-term:

A Wheelbarrow (the kind with two wheels that is easier to use)--approx $125

1-2 pitchforks--approx $30 ea

Plastic rakes (for spreading bark chips)--approx $10 ea
