Assistant Camp Director
The Assistant Camp Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of the daily schedule of camp events and special activities. Promote daily and upcoming activities to excite and prepare campers. Is a positive role model for youth and staff at all times. Assist the Camp Director in all aspects of camp. Must have the ability to work with and supervise children. Must have at least one-year prior camp experience (prefer Gales Creek Camp experience). Current First Aid and CPR certification required prior to the start of camp.

Lead Counselor
Assist the Camp Director with camper supervision, enforce policies to ensure campers safety, schedule time off, supervise all program activities, and manage counselors and CIT's. The lead counselor assumes more overall management and planning responsibilities than a counselor. Must be at least 19 years of age and have at least one-year prior camp experience (prefer Gales Creek Camp experience). Current First Aid and CPR certification required prior to camp.

A great job for elementary education, physical education and recreation students interested in leading, nurturing and role modeling healthy active life styles. Will supervise and guide children in developmentally appropriate camp activities. Must be at least 19 years of age--high school graduate preferred. Enthusiasm, sense of humor and patience in working with children required. Must have current First Aid and CPR certification prior to the start of camp (you may be reimbursed up to $75 for this training). Must be able to commit to working entire camp schedule from June 17th to August 17th, 2018.

Counselor in Training (CIT)
CITs are an important part of the Gales Creek Camp employment pipeline. Former campers make some of the best counselors (and kitchen staff and even nurses!). The CIT program is for former campers who are in between eligibilities: they can't be a camper anymore but they can't be a counselor yet either. Must be at least 18 years old--high school graduates preferred.

The CIT program is all-new for 2018 and works like this: a total of 12 CITs (6 boys cabin, 6 girls cabin) will be selected through a competitive application process. This will include an application and interview. Those accepted into the CIT program will be required to attend 2 days of training (one overnight) during the 2018 Staff Training Week (held June 17- June 22). CITs will choose one week of regular camp in which they will join the staff and provide support to the team.
