Severe Allergies/Anaphylaxis

FOOD Allergy vs FOOD Intolerance:

A child can have a severe allergy to any food as well as an intolerance to any food. It is important to discuss the difference between "allergy" and "intolerance." A food intolerance is not life threatening and will not require emergency medication if the student consumes that food.
