Homework Tips for Parents
1. Set aside a specific time for your child to do homework each night. This will help
eliminate procrastination.
2. Designate a quiet and well-lit place for your child to work. Protect your child from
distractions. Establish a “Quiet Zone.”
3. Be sure your child has the necessary materials and supplies on hand to support
his/her homework (e.g., pencils, pens, eraser, number grid, ruler, paper, etc.)
4. Stay in close proximity to your child during homework time.
5. Check your child’s homework for quality and accuracy.
