My name is Jessica Sledge. This is my 14th year teaching. I previously taught 2nd grade for four years in a Catholic School and kindergarten for five years in OPS. Previously, I taught kindergarten here at Spring Ridge. I am originally from Columbus, Nebraska. I received my bachelor's degree at UNO and my Master's from Concordia. I am married to my husband, Jimmy and have three children: Wyatt, 10, Owen 9, and Savannah, 6. As a family, we enjoy any activity outside. Paddle boarding, kayaking, running, swimming, volleyball and biking are just naming a few. I am excited to teach second grade this year and get to know and build relationships with all my students and families.
My name is Devon Bauer. This is my 16th year as a second grade teacher at Spring Ridge Elementary. I am from Omaha, Nebraska. I received my Master's degree from Wayne State College in 2010. My teaching philosophy is that every child can learn in their own unique way. I enjoy reading, taking walks and spending time with my twelve year old son, Collin, and my eight year old daughter, Sophie.
My name is Stephanie Schaben and this will be my 24th year of teaching. I have previously taught 1 year in Washington, Nebraska, and 4 and a half years in District 41 (Fairview) which was a one room country schoolhouse right outside of Elkhorn. I am originally from Stanton, Iowa. I received an Associates Degree from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, and then attended UNO for my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. My husband, Steve, and I have had a great summer with our 9 year old son, Chase, who will be in 4th grade this year at Hillrise.
Hi, I’m Laura Seyl. This is my 24th year teaching in the Elkhorn Public Schools. I have previously taught preschool, kindergarten and fifth grade. My husband and I have two grown sons. One graduated from UNL and works in KC, and we have an older son who graduated from Harvard with a masters in architecture and works in Boston. I am the sponsor of Spring Ridge’s Green Team. Teaching youngsters to be environmentally conscious is very important to me. Hopefully your students will bring home new information to you this year about caring for the Earth.
