Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Data analysis process - calculated acceleration of vehicle and ran statistical analysis of failure modes
Created formula for inertia and forces acting on vehicle
most common mode of failure - not reaching proper bottom or top
compiling results in table
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Design Proposal on 4/16!
Formula for inertia!
Found acceleration of vehicle!
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Hold several meetings with SIO engineers to evaluate causes of latch failure and known design flaws
Compare acceleration data and cycle failure results
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Prof. Lucas, Hive 4/8- incorporate more direct info, try to keep the Gantt chart updated
Steps taken - made sure that each member of the team had a good working knowledge of the Mini WW and how to properly describe it
Ran data analysis to determine needed changes to project scope
Prof. Lucas, Hive 4/19- treat mini WW as neutrally buoyant for inertia analysis
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Prof. Ghazinejad, Zoom 4/16 - design analysis of race should be included since
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
waiting to receive comments from the design proposal
Risks and Areas of Concern
Accuracy of data - the data is a bit weird to parse since there's so many points, so it's a bit difficult to guarantee accuracy
Simulations/analysis - since we'll likely have to use Fusion 360 for CAD, we're not fully aware of our capabilities
