Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • This week was mostly spent redefining the scope and separate elements of our project

  • The documentation of our scope redefinition can be found here, or by looking at our Gantt Chart

  • Current tasks are Module 1: MATLAB analysis of current data

• • Redefinition of project scope

  • Better understanding of the project after meeting with SIO engineer Tyler Hughen

• • Module 1 - MATLAB analysis of data

    • Acceleration modeling (Chelwei) - use the depth and velocity data to model the acceleration of the Macro and Mini Wirewalker

    • Force/Inertia calculations (Andrew) - evaluate the transfer of energy to the Wirewalker and analyze differences between Macro and Mini

    • Characterization of failure modes (Mithulesh) - determine which behavior patterns constitute failure

    • Statistical analysis of failure (Tamara) - analyze both sets of data for failure modes and types, see if there are patterns
