Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Parts have arrived and were tested for functionality

    • Locking Mechanism works, but could use improvement (make fully captive)

    • 3D print came out with slightly undersized holes that needed to be manipulated to fix

    • One of the t-handle ball locks arrived missing a ball

  • PCB is still yet to arrive in order to be tested

  • Fiber Optics research is moving forward

• Assemble Parts that arrive - Harald

  • Panels have been assembled and seem to function properly

  • still missing PCB to make sure electrical aspect is functional

• Begin research on fiber optics for stretch goal - Leigh/Jesse

  • Looked into st versus sc fiber optic connections

  • Currently working on solution for miniaturization

• Aluminum Manufacturing process research/implementation - Trent

  • Sand-casting suggested as probably best solution

  • Looking into pricing / lead times

• • Vibrations have been known to rattle out take-down pins at times

    • Issue had already been acknowledged and is being addressed by trying to fix the take-down pin to be fully captive

Risks and Areas of Concern

• • Panel including fiber optics will not be able to be manufactured on time, so we will not be able to physically test our fiber optics design to assure functionality.
