Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Design revision to include the data and power connections in the face of the U-Dot connectors as opposed to a discrete USB between the panels.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Narrowed scope of project to omit F/O connection, only USB for this initial design.
Met with Tom/Ian regarding DFM and prototyping.
Suggestion to manufacture from a single base plate to reduce the number of discrete parts and complexity of final assembly.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Meet with Steve re: Electrical Connection methods for constant backing pressure and electrical isolation.
Manufacture the first single-piece prototype of the mechanical fixture.
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Mr. Sohn expressed concern about longevity of spring-based mechanisms and prefers a spring-less design.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Obtain list of approved materials or a copy of the list of approved materials for NASA.
Obtain more information from Exos et al regarding constraints etc.
Risks and Areas of Concern (i.e. show stoppers)
Exos limitations on sizing and assembly area.
Number of cubesats that will be mounted (20-60 possible, design changes required if the number changes drastically.)
