156B Week 4
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Almost done with complete CAD model, sourced and talked to fluid people, got a test plumbing 1.25 in plug to test tapping of PETG.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Major redesign to CAD: Got rid of one entire phase, coil diameter increased to 1.25 in (using standard size pipe plug as insert), Talked to representative from 3M about cooling fluid.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Fix motor-stator magnet-electromagnet alignment between the different phases for optimal torque. Add filling holes for fluid and exit holes for phase wires to top of stator.
Order O-ring.
Test Print pieces out of PETG potentially for threading tests?

4/17 in-person:
Coil holder thickness will be reduce-able as needed, so water channel size as in current CAD can be reduced
Also expect that we will not need as much liquid cooling =
