*156B Week 1
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Project is in process of redefinition due to COVID-19
We have the prototype from sponsor, currently not working
Some coils burned out, other barriers preventing this from working
Most theory is complete except for the inverter
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Because sponsor, instructional, and student team have not been able to meet together, student team has created list of what goals may be attainable for this project
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Have a defined scope for the project
Get some materials ordered, maybe
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Sponsor directed student team to
find optimized coil design - student team has been unable to effectively test coils due to lack of materials, but there is a plan in place
find inverter capabilities - no plan to address this yet
select material as G10/G20 - student team has researched sourcing this material, but tools required to process manufacturing are lacking
model validation - student team contacted sponsor and asked for purchasing of sensors for validation
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
3/31 thinks "building" inverter may not be in scope of project
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
not applicable
Risks and Areas of Concern
part ordering is majorly international, shipping is extremely questionable in current socioeconomic conditions
still don't have defined project scope or requirements
Resources or Information Required but not Available

Schedule
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
