Successfully obtain serial input from ESP32. Localization can be done by pen and paper at this point.

Use the serial output from ESP32 to develop algorithm and preliminary code for detection
Measure signal amplitude as a function of distance and angle from base station. i.e. determine field of view (FOV) of the receiver module
Finalize PCB design --> Place Order ASAP

Risks and Areas of Concern
By the current sampling rate of ESP32, the receiver module cannot detect the infrared scan when it is 2m+ away from the base station.
Solution:
by software: increase sampling rate
by hardware: increase amount of photodiodes ( extremely unpreferable )
