156B Week 8

Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Total Integration of system is underway

  • Prototype enclosures for the one wrist and arm assembly has been created using 3D printed TPU

  • One PCB board has most of the components soldered into it

  • 2 IMU’s are working and calculating wrist angle

  • Work-in-progress live  graphing of one pressure sensor has been achieved.

Accomplishments from Previous Week

• • Live graphic from the raspberry pi works but there is noticeable lag and slowness after ~20 seconds.

  • Wrist calculation has been achieved using 2 IMU’s

  • 4 sensors have been soldered on the PCB board and mounted inside the arm enclosure.

  • Wrist enclosure has been created but will need to be re-work to fit more wires

• • Get more than one sensor to broadcast the live results (Kyle)

  • Create a compact arm enclosure and make the wrist enclosure have more wires (John)

  • Create an enclosure for the raspberry pi and calibration rig (euan)

  • Improve IMU sensors to have a better interface (Michael)

  • Can you run multiple data feeds? (One hand yes, two hands still iffy)

  • Can possibly reduce a lot of dead space in the 3D printed forearm module (piece has been edited to better fit all of the required components)
