Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
IMU sensors are almost ready for deployment; few bugs here and there
An online live interface for the data to be displayed is being constructed
PCB design is sent out to manufacturer for fabrication. ETA 1.5 weeks
15mm Pressure sensor arrived and approved by Dr. Chang.
Feedback sensors have been chosen and continuing integration
Accomplishments from Previous Week
IMU is able to tell the angle relative to a stationary angle. (Other IMU was MIA but has been recently found so testing for IMU to tell angle relative to other IMU is underway)
With the help of Michael Smith, CS undergrad, we were able to set up an online webpage that will broadcast the data of the sensors. Right now it contains a dummy graph.
A haptic feedback motor (vibration motor) has been tested and has shown impressive vibration strength. Dr. Chang approved it so another one has been purchased for the other arm
1M ohm potentiometer has been purchases to determine optimum pull up resistor value to achieve the desired resolution of the finger pressure sensor
An updated CAD for the case of the IMU and vibration motor has been designed and will be 3D printed with TPU (flexible) filament)
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finalize the IMU to be able to tell angles from the other IMU (Michael)
Improve online interface to send the data of sensors into the page (Kyle)
Once potentiometer arrives, calibrate the pressure sensors and prepare for integration to finger cots (Euan)
Finalize CAD design for enclosures of mounted components such as vibration motor, IMU, ESP-32 and begin fabrication (John)

Another doctor will come to the week 8 meeting, try to have a good working model by then for them to try out (5/8 in person)
Overall very happy with the progress since original scope was just finger pressure sensors (5/8 in person)
