Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Bail material will be ordered this week.(Harry)
Design a test to check strength of fins.(Tung)
Pressure sensor testing to figure out operation and get readings.(Aaron)
Sensor housing ideas are still being considered based on how the sensors are reading (Alan & Kendra)
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Completed drop testing of float at the Transdec facility. (Aaron, Alan, Harry)
Determined Neutral buoyancy weight/ net buoyant force.(Aaron, Alan, Harry)
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finalize float changes based on analysis of footage from drop test.(All)
View footage of test at transdec to determine velocity of float (Alan)

The correct method to accomplish testing is incrementally. Do not try to test all components at once. (in person 2/10/17)

Risks and Areas of Concern
Sensors did not work at our test as originally hoped. The team will debug the problem in order to prevent this from happening in the future
Transdec is booked for the rest of the month. In order to perform a final test of the float we will contact SIO to determine logistics of using their pool
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Tech support from Star Oddi is difficult to reach since the company is based in Europe, but they are attending a convention here in a week so we will we contact them to meet up if we have any further questions.
Schedule
Team is currently on schedule. The data from the test needs to be analyzed to determine the next step in terms of changes to the design of the float.
The next steps that do not rely on the design of the float are bail fabrication and sensor housing fabrication.
We will use a fishing pole to drop the sensors off the pier to gather real ocean data for testing the sensors.
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Total Budget: $4100
Transdeck testing: $1600
Testing Materials (purchased at Marshalls Hardware) : $100
PVC Pipe: $850
