Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Received new piezo stack
All machining is complete except for threaded plungers
Not sure if ref mic is being implemented correctly
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Implemented reference mic in prototype, but it's not solving the problems we had hoped it would because it reads a much lower dB level than the MEMS
Final module was assembled
Tested reference mic with various input voltages
Programmed new VI to sweep 20-20k with 20Hz
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Make more VIs for different tests, work on feedback VI - Jenessa
Reference mic conditioning - Russ
Machine new set of plungers for threaded piezo stack - Chris
Test new piezo - Kyle
Report - everyone
Optimize voltage for new piezo - Jenessa
Check for pressure leakage in ref mic dish- Chris/Kyle

Run fine sweep w/ 20Hz increments
Try to make feedback for the "good" range- about 100Hz to 12kHz
Check ref mic dish for pressure leakage, could be the cause of the difference in dB reading between mems and ref mic
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Look into high thd at low frequencies, could be caused by sampling rate

Risks and Areas of Concern
Is a pressure mic the best option for verifying that our system works correctly?
Pressure mic dB measurement is much lower than MEMS
