Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Smart batteries: Diana has been researching these batteries.
Teensy microprocessors: Jeanette has been looking into using these microprocessor.
Optics experiment for a risk reduction: Jamie will look into this
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Professor Anderson made a comment about the safety of lithium ion batteries in the ocean. Research has been done and planning on calling manufacturer to make sure that batteries are short circuit safe (Diana)
Risks and Areas of Concern
May need more machine shop space. Will talk to Isaiah on Friday (Tyler)
After talking with Isaiah he reinstilled confidence in excluding the port hole design, this may be risky if we cannot determine the image transformation needed for the optical deformation of the cylinder wall (Jamie)
Once all the electronic components have been determined, they must all fit into the casing. Potential risk could be if all the sensor cannot be all placed in a single chamber but instead be distributed around the casing. Some slight interior frame design changes needed if so. Will look into it (Jeanette)
