Iota Iota Iota (or Triota) is the National Honor Society for Women's Studies. Triota strives to maintain the feminist values central to Women's Studies: egalitarianism, inclusiveness, and a celebration of the diversity of women's experiences. Triota takes its name from the initial "I" in the names of three ancient and powerful goddesses: Inanna, Ishtar, and Isis. Every year, the Women's Studies Program at Elmira College inducts our top students into our campus chapter of Triota. Qualified students have at least 9 credits of Women's Studies classes, have a record of feminist activism and commitment, and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA.
