The Women's and Gender Studies Program collaborated with organizers of the Elmira Women's March in 2019 (original march postponed because of a big snow storm!) WAGS continued to collaborate with Arts Alive and the Gannett-Tripp Library to sponsor the annual art alumna exhibition as part of Women's History Month celebrations. This year Christina Nurchzinski'14 showed her art that was inspired by the Sister Cities Association of Corning, New York whose mission is to promote peace though international exchange programs. Her artwork abstractly commented on the perilous border problems facing North and South Koreans.
