Our Women's Studies Kiva loan team just funded a 10th female entrepreneur! Noorzia Mohammad Nazar, a tailor and seamstress in Kabul, Afghanistan received a micro-loan to buy a sewing machine for her home business. The students in the 2009 Feminist Issues seminar, in honor of International Women's Day, originally raised the money to help fund poor female entrepreneurs worldwide. By re-loaning the principle, we have now funded our 10th loan. Follow the progress at the Women's Studies Kiva webpage.
