Assessment makeups will be made through the Learning Lab (in the Library). The Lab will contact you to arrange your assessment time.). If the assessment is shorter in duration, you may make it up with prior arrangement during Hornet Homeroom.

All World Language classes have "Use of Target Language" worth 10% of the grade.
Please remember that World Languages are NOT required to graduate, they are electives. At EHS, there are other electives that may better suit a student who cannot speak in class. All World Language classes have "Use of Target Language" worth 10% of the grade.
Use of Target Language consists of using the language to answer questions. Each day, I make a note of whether or not the student used the TL. Use of Target Language is approved by the district and is required by ALL World Language Teachers.
If you are absent, I do not require you to make up anything other than assessments, Quizlet assignments and Duolingo assignments. (Quizlet and Duolingo are done completely out of school and a student need not be present to do them.) All other graded assignments will be entered as an "Excused". It looks a little odd in PowerSchool, because it still shows a 0.00%. So long as it shows the "E" for excused, it is NOT affecting your grade.

I enter my grades in Schoology, not directly into PowerSchool. They are supposed to sync nightly. If you see a "0" in PowerSchool, it may be because I entered an assignment as "missing" in Schoology. Please check Schoology before you email me in a panic, saying that I gave you a "0" on an assignment for which you were absent.
