SLO vs SOO 

SLO

• Sets targets and progress monitors each individual student

• Need to answer:

  • The assessment you will use

  • Who are the students

  • Baseline as a number

  • Set a target as a number

  • Record final score as a number

• District determines “success”

SOO

• Sets a goal and progress monitors a group of students

• Need to answer:

  • The assessment and/or body of evidence you will use

  • Who is the student group

  • How baseline was determined

  • Create goals/targets and determine success

  • Analyze final data to determine outcome
