Things to keep in mind about RtI for speech language students:
RtI is not required for students with only speech and language concerns.
RtI should be initiated if there is availability in your schedule. We are responsible for providing speech and language services to students who are on IEP’s.
RtI students are typically students that exhibit articulation errors that are developmentally appropriate and are educationally impacting them. The errors should be able to be remediated within 6-8 weeks of minimal instruction (e.g., 1 session a week).
