Laura Brown

I'm Laura Brown, and I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new role as an SLPA after spending the last 12 years teaching middle school English in DCSD.
I’ve always loved working with language—whether it’s through storytelling, building vocabulary, or helping students express themselves more clearly—and that passion is what led me to speech-language pathology.

Outside of work, I’m someone who loves backpacking and digging for treasures at estate sales. I also have a soft spot for peanut butter. One of my favorite things about working with kids is watching them light up when they master something new.

I’m really looking forward to learning from this team and supporting the amazing students we work with.
