Creating & Maintaining ALPs

Colorado Law States:

ALPs: Creating and Maintaining 2018-19

Early Access (Kindergarten/First Grade): ALPs MUST be created/updated by August 31st, using the information in the Early Access Portfolio.

Elementary: ALPs are created in EduClimber.  Include student and parent voice through face to face conferences, google forms, or other means of collaboration.  Plans must be updated by September 30th of each school year. 

Middle School: ALP must be developed for each student, blended with ICAP, and should reflect student academic, affective, and postsecondary goals/plans. 

High School:  ALP must be developed for each student in Naviance, blended with ICAP, and should reflect student academic, affective, and postsecondary goals/plans.

ALPs shall be created in collaboration with the student, parents/guardians & staff.  The child's input is the most important!  They should be at the center of the process, not watching while everyone else decides what the goal and programming should consist of.
