Crews for the Musical

The Fundraising Committee plans monthly events to raise money to defray the production costs for the royalty fee, scripts, props, paint, costumes, and sound equipment.  This year the committee will raise additional funds to upgrade our fifteen year old sound system. Starts on Tuesday, September 5.

Set Design Crew  plans what furniture and set pieces will be on stage as well as creating the set backdrop templates. 


Set Painting Crew paints props and flats as needed.


Stage Crew starts on February 5 and meets every weekday after school until 5:00.  Stage Crew moves the stage furniture on and off stage to set the scene!


Prop Crew meets every Tuesday and Thursday in February and every weekday in March until March 6.  Prop crew organizes and sets all the props for the show. Prop Crew concludes on February 24.


Sound crew helps operate the sound system and oversee the microphone usage. The crew meets every weekday until 5:00 starting February 14.


Light Crew meets every Monday and Friday in February and every day Feb. 27 – Mar. 3 until 5:00; as well as the shows, March 7, 8, and 9 . The light crew uses the spotlights and light panel to enhance the show. 


Costume Crew starts February  13, and meets every weekday  until 4:00 until Feb 24. During Tech week Costume Crew meets daily until 5:00. The Costume crew organizes the costumes and costume room.


Make-up Crew starts on February 27 and meets every day that week until 4:00.  The crew sets up and takes down the make-up stations in the music wing hallways. The Make-up crew demonstrates cosmetic applications to the cast. Cast members apply their own make-up.


Hair Crew starts on February 21 and meets daily until 4:00. The crew sets up and takes down the hair stations in the music wing hallways. The Hair Crew styles the hair of the cast. Braid hair styles will be prevalent in this show.


Publicity Crew advertises the musical production by creating and distributing flyers. They also help the fundraising committee sell ads for the program.


Ticket sellers arrive forty-five before the performance to sell any remaining tickets and raffle tickets.


Ushers arrive 30 minutes before the performance to hand out programs and help audience members locate their seats.
