About Me - Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Broeker has been teaching at Emerson since 2005. She majored in Voice and minored in Piano and Theater at the University of Illinois. She studied Orff-Schulwerk Levels 1 - 3 with Jos Wuytack and Dalcroze with Bob Abramson. In addition to the yearly, all school Musical, Mrs. Broeker enjoys directing Community Theater. She recently directed the Elgin Summer theatre production of "the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." She enjoys being the mother of six children. Her favorite leisure activities are directing musicals, playing instruments, reading books, writing stories, and learning languages.
