Curriculum

District 181 adopted Information Literacy Standards on August 22, 2011, they were reviewed in 2018.

The D181 Teacher-Librarians integrate information literacy standards within the core subject curricula through collaboration with other teachers. School librarians also take an active role in encouraging reading both for learning and pleasure and an active role in technology integration and STEAM.

Illinois School Librarians are required to base their programs on Linking for Learning: The Illinois School Library Media Program Guidelines.
