This ensemble is for auditioned ONLY students, grades 9-12. Prior experience is required, with an addition of a minimum of 1 years’ experience in either the Central Valley High School Concert Orchestra or Symphony Orchestra. Ensemble serves as the String ambassador of the Central Valley High School Orchestra program, requested by and performing for many groups/businesses across the Greater Spokane Area. Concert load is demanding with an average of 25 performances throughout the year. Ensemble will compete at NEMEA Solo/Ensemble Festival. Ensemble is student lead, non-conducted, based upon the 16 member format limited by state – large group festival requirements. Private lessons are STRONGLY encouraged based upon the level of musical difficulty
