Chamber Orchestra Auditions

CVHS 2026-2027 Chamber Orchestra Auditions

• Chamber auditions will be held in person on Wednesday, April 29th in the Orchestra Room.

• These auditions are open to all current Central Valley students.

• Students must sign up for an audition time using the link below:

• Audition requirements:

  • Perform a 1-minute solo excerpt of your choice from standard repertoire

  • Perform the scales and etude listed below

  • Each audition will be 10 minutes long.

• Available positions for next year: 3 Violins

• Important: At this time, no audition slots are available for incoming freshmen. If a second round of auditions is needed, eligible students will be notified.

• All auditions will be evaluated for Chamber placement. Students selected for Chamber will be notified after auditions.

• TO BE A MEMBER OF CHAMBER, YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF EITHER CONCERT ORCHESTRA OR SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. ACCEPTIONS TO THE RULE WILL BE DECIDED CASE BY CASE.
