THE GOLDMINE WITHIN YOU part 3.
A man had three sons, and when he was about to die, he called on them and distribute to them his estates. To one, he gave all his houses, to another he gave all his industries, and to the youngest he gave his old rickety car.
Immediately after speaking to the last child, he died. The boy was so furious with the father but later allowed the matter to die down. One morning while he was trying to fix up something in the car, he noticed some sparkling objects in the petrol tank of the car, and out of curiosity, decided to bring down the engine.
On opening the petrol tank, he discovered stored away in it were solid gold worth billions of dollars. How they came about, don’t ask me! But the fact is that, just the way he had been driving this seemingly rickety old car around without knowing what he was carrying about, is the same way you and I have been carrying our subconscious mind without knowing that right beneath it is a goldmine!
Excellence is the end product of a refined talent.
Excellence is not a calling, neither is it a gift, it is earned. It has nothing to do with the colour of your skin either. Your background is not even a yardstick for measuring excellence. It is your ability to create value. It is your refined talent that qualifies you for it. Everyone has a place at the top when building excellence becomes a priority.
Excellence is not an endowment but a product of hard work. It is accepting responsibility. That is, not requiring supervision before you deliver your best.
Excellence is not in position, it is in disposition.
