Scheduling Core Courses for the 2026-2027 School Year:
Students will meet with their core course teachers (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies) in January after the completion of 1st semester. Teachers and students will discuss placement for their Junior year based off course pre-requisites and grades at that time. Students MUST be meeting course pre-requisites at this time to be placed. Please review the 2025- 2026 Program of Studies to see pre-requisites for courses. Once core course placements are complete, Core Course Verification forms will be mailed home for parent review and signatures.
Required courses for Junior Year will include ELA, Math, Government, and either Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology or Environmental Science Course for all juniors -- keeping in mind that additional credits are needed for the Academic Honor Diplomas. Juniors must also carry 6 classes to meet athletic and academic eligibility requirements.
Elective Course Request Forms will be completed following core course placement and will be done with students in their English Classes. A copy of their elective course request form will be sent home for parents and guardians to view.
Scheduling Reminders:
Core Course Placement can be changed at the end of the school year. If your student was not meeting the pre-requisite at the beginning of 2nd semester, we can review placement at the end of the year for a schedule change.
Electives that are selected on the elective course request form will be placed around core courses if available. We do our best to place students in electives they have selected if available in their schedule.
If your student is taking CCP courses for the 2026-2027 school year, they MUST meet with Mrs. Cleghorn to discuss courses before scheduling with their advisor.
