School District Mapping

There are 11 public school districts operating within Columbia County. Using tax parcel data supplied by the county's Real Property Tax Service and data obtained from the NYS Education Department, the Planning department produced a map showing the boundaries of these districts.

School District boundaries are not necessarily contiguous. There are parcels in Columbia County that are in one school district which are completely surrounded by a different school district.

If you are unsure about the school district your property is in, consult the Columbia County Real Property Image Mate system, or your local tax assessor.

The PDF map posted here shows the boundaries of the school districts within Columbia County derived from 2020 tax parcels. The data is also available as a GIS layer on Columbia County's Geo-Data portal, and is viewable in the GIS Data Viewer application.
