PennDOT Invites the Public to Vote for “Fan Favorite” in

Paint the Plow Contest

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to choose the “Fan Favorite” of the District 10 Paint the Plow contest by “liking” their favorite in the contest photo album on the PennDOT Facebook page.

Voting is now underway and will remain open until noon on Wednesday, November 15. The photo in the album with the most likes will be named “Fan Favorite”. “District 10 is pleased with the submissions from school districts from Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson Counties”, said District 10 Executive Joseph P. Dubovi, III, P. E.

Nine school districts participated in District 10’s first year of the program. Students from Armstrong County School District, Leechburg School District, Butler Area Vocational Technical School, Clarion-Limestone School District, Keystone Area School District, Redbank Valley School District, Homer Center School District, Penns Manor School District, and Brockway Area School District submitted their artwork. You can vote for your favorite District 10 plow by visiting our Paint the Plow page.

The plows will be mounted to a plow truck in the areas of the respective school districts for the upcoming winter season.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 850 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
