Other rules: Be nice to everybody. Keep all electronics put away. You may not store your headphones in your ears. Phones off and put away! You may eat in class if you have your math materials out and are doing math. Be nice. Don’t distract the class by sharing food or eating when the teacher is teaching. Texting leads to the dark side. Clean up after yourself. Food and trash left in the room will result in suspension of eating privileges. Always return pencils, calculators or any other items you borrowed. Be nice to everybody. Phones off and put away! Have all your materials ready for class before the tardy bell. I do not have class sets of text books. You need to bring your book every day! I will not be responsible for your book if you leave it in class. Bring homework to class every day, I may collect it! Be nice to everybody. No cats or dogs in the classroom, especially at the same time. Texting leads to the dark side. Do not apply, smother, rub or otherwise use lotion, perfume, deodorant in class. I will sneeze on you if you do! Phones off and put away! Do all personal grooming in the bathroom. Be nice to everybody. Try not to use the bathroom during the time I am teaching. Don’t run around the room. Keep out of my stuff. Leave other classmates stuff alone. Phones off and put away! The buses are yellow, they come every day. The city buses are not yellow, they come every day too. Be nice to everybody. Snow is white, I am sure you have seen it. Rain is wet, it does rain here. Please do not get your book wet. Phones off and put away! You are personally responsible for doing everything we do in class, even if you are not in class. Be nice to everybody. You are expected to talk with me about work you missed because of an absence. If you don’t understand what is going on, do something about it! I am not responsible for your book once I check it out to you. Don’t write on the desks, books, or math materials. Texting leads to the dark side. Listen to directions, all of them, before asking questions. Be nice to everybody. No notes, text messaging, or leaving notes on the calculators. Do not play games on your phones. If you play games during class I will confiscate your phone. Taking school calculator batteries is stealing! Be nice to everybody. Be quiet when I have to answer the phone or talk to another adult in the classroom. When emergencies happen be quiet and follow directions. Be nice to everybody. Be quiet in the halls during a fire alarm. Be nice to everybody. I paid good money for the posters in the room, read them and don’t write on them. Phones off and put away! Do not ever write on the student work in the classroom, many students stayed up late last night before the due date to do those projects. Be nice to everybody. No white out. Don’t write on the board without permission; use an eraser to erase on the board. If you want to leave me a warm and fuzzy note on the board Email me!? Texting leads to the dark side. You may not keep your phones on your desk; they need to be put away. I am not interested if Google knows the answer, you need to think! I expect all problems done in class to be in your notes. Keep your notes organized and complete. Taking a picture is not taking notes. You need to do math, not record it on your phone. Keep up and keep busy doing math. Be nice to everybody! Go Red Sox!
