We will be using Khan Academy to go over the last topic in Calculus: Parametrics, Vectors, and Polars (Chapter 11 in your book)
Below are the problems I would have assigned out of your textbook (solutions are posted in BC Calculus Handouts). These are just more resources to help with Khan Academy.
Section 11.1: Parametrics. Show formulas for finding first and second derivative of a parametric curve and the arc length of a parametric curve.
HW: Section 11.1: 7, 11, 23, 33 (setup and use calculator), 34 (setup and evaluate by hand), 39 (setup and use calculator).
Section 11.2: Vectors: Pass out Notes Sheet on Vectors and go over definitions
HW: Section 11.2: 35-39, 46-51
Section 11.3: Polars. Show how to find the derivative of a polar equation and the area of a polar graph.
HW: Section 11.3: 1a, 3a, 6, 8, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36 (these are precal review if needed)
41, 43, 44, 45, 48, 53 (for all area problems be sure to sketch, shade, setup integral and evaluate with your calculator)
