Wednesday 1/29: Warmup on Separation of Variables. Go over HW. Begin Section 7.5 by solving dP/dt=.0003P(1000-P) where P(0)= 61 in groups. This is in the form of the logistic differential equation.
HW: Solve dP/dt=.008P(100-P) where P(0)=10.
Thursday 1/30: Pass back 7.2-7.3 Quest. Give overview of what we learned in the chapter. Discuss Logistic Growth Models (look at 7.5: 31, 32, 34 together). Discuss key facts of logistic models.
HW: Solve the differential equation: A population P is changing at a rate proportional to 800-P. If P(0)=500 and P(2)=600, find P(t).
