Thusday 3/22: Overview of Series. Begin 10.1 with review of the precalculus of series. Discuss what an infinite series is and how to use partial sums to determine convergence. Discuss Infinite Geometric Series.(notes posted online).
HW: Section 10.1: 2-20 even, 21-24, and Exploration on P. 481
Friday 3/23: Work on 10.1 Problems. Enjoy your spring break. If you are looking to get ahead, start memorizing the McClaurin Series on p.495 (we will quiz the week after break). Also I am posting the supplemental notes on all of series compiled by Ben Goldstein as a reference.
Monday 4/1: Go over HW. Discuss creating power series using term by term differentiation or term by term integration
Tuesday 4/2:: Finish 10.1 by completing Section 10.1: 27, 31, 36, 37, 48, 50, 51, 54-60, 64, 72, Exploration 3 on p.484 and Exploration 1 on p. 488 (Due on Thursday 4/5)
Wednesday 4/3: Read 10.2 focusing on the definition of the McClaurin Series (Taylor Series centered at x=0) and how we use the chart on page 495.
Complete: Section 10.2: 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 22, 24
Thursday 4/4: Go over HW. Review 3 different methods of finding a series to represent a function. Finish Discussing 10.2 (Taylor Series centered at x=a) .
HW: Section 10.2: 13, 23, 25ab, 27, 32, 33, 37-42
Friday 4/5 Go over HW. Pass out Review Worksheet for 10.1-10.2 to complete in groups

Monday 4/8: Self-Checkpoint on 10.1 and 10.2 (writing series to represent functions centered at x=0). Registration Day. Study for p. 495 quiz later in the week
HW: Read 10.4
Tuesday 4/9: Begin Section 10.4: Radius of Convergence and how the nth term test and ratio test work.
HW: Section 10.4: 31, 34, 37, 40, 43, 44
Wednesday 4/10: Go over HW from 10.4. More 10.4- Ratio Test with a power series and finding radius of convergence.
HW: Section 10.4: 9, 12, 15, 17, 21, 24
Thursday 4/11: We are now looking at the convergence of series at a distance of R from the center. Introduce the p-series test and the alternating series test. Discuss comparison tests, absolute convergence, conditional convergence
HW: Section 10.5: 36, 38, 42, 47, 61
Friday 4/12: Discuss Error in Series Approximations. Give overview and then discuss Alternating Series Estimation Theorem (10.5) and Remainder Estimation Theorem (10.3). Pass out AP WS..
HW: Do 2011 and 2016 AP FR Series Questions
Monday 4/13: Go over HW. Review for Test. Pass back 10.1-10.2 Quiz. Be sure to finish the other 2 problems on the AP Worksheets.,
Tuesday 4/14: Go over HW. Required Chapter Review Problems (some solutions are posted): 2, 4, 6, 8, 13, 14, 33-36, 57a, 61a, 37-40, 55a, 56, 58ab, 60, 62
