VEX WORLDS- JROTC NATIONALS
We left May 8th for Dallas, Texas, and the tournament ran until May 11th. Team 5813R, the Allen Keys, comprised of Matthew Ochsner, Hunter Harmsen, and Lexi Van Riper- competed in the JROTC National Championship against 150 other JROTC Teams. Overall, we took home the title for AFJROTC National Champions, as well as placing 4th in skills. The event itself took place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
Hunter Harmsen: Being on the robotics has probably been the best choice I've made in highschool, it's been a great learning experience. It's taught me many things for the career I want to pursue after highschool. I've also met a lot of bright people that I can continue to learn many things from. Through the many late night practices or troubleshooting the code, we have made some great achievements this year but we want to continue to get even better and we know that we still haven't reached our full potential. Our team looks forward to the years to come to continue our robotics journey.
