iMac Lab Installation - Progress!

Yesterday all the iMacs made it into the lab!

While we were all gone on spring break, there was lots of work going on in the computer lab. All of the wiring was installed, along with the networking equipment. It's much cleaner than it used to be - and faster too! The technology consultant who works with the Archdiocese FOCUS schools was in also with his crew getting the new iMacs inventoried (the computers actually belong to the Legacy grant program not to us) and a hard drive image set up that will be copied to all of the machines. This week, they were back to work with me on getting things in place and working. I have to say, it was hard to get used to having help with a new lab setup - but very nice! Today, students started getting a sneak peak at their new lab when they came in for their library time... the oohs and ahhs certainly put a smile on my face! I can't even begin to imagine what our students can accomplish with these great technology tools at their fingertips! All that, and we also have four new interactive whiteboards at the Nicollet campus - WOW!!!

Stay tuned tomorrow for an unveiling and final "after" photo of the new lab!
