Thank You!
Thank you to all our Alcona FFA Alumni Association Scholarship Fund contributors! Your contribution has helped graduating Alcona FFA members on their journey to a higher education. FFA encourages scholarship, personal growth, premiere leadership and career success; this scholarship fund will help FFA members meet these achievements. Without the monetary support from our local community members, organizations and businesses, offering an FFA scholarship for graduating seniors would not be possible.
With your help we can continue to grow and expand the Agriscience program and ensure the promise of FFA at Alcona Community Schools.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement with the Alcona FFA Chapter! We look forward to continue working alongside you!
Sincerely,
Alcona FFA Alumni Association Board of Directors

The initial purpose of the scholarship fund was to provide financial support to graduating FFA members at Alcona Community High School that pursue a higher education - this still holds true today! With the support from local community members, organizations and businesses the scholarship fund has grown significantly! For more information on how to become a donor please contact the Alcona FFA Alumni Association.

Our Connection to the Northeast Michigan Community Foundation
In August of 2013 the Alcona FFA Alumni Association Scholarship Fund was moved from the Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union and the JoMar Financial Institution to the Community Foundation of Northeast Michigan. The fund was moved to the Community Foundation for (4) primary means. They are as follows:
Simplification of the donation process
Allow a more professional process for anonymous donations
Have a network of professional financial advisors to help us in managing the fund
Provide scholarship donors help and assistance in making contributions
Donor Recognition
Upon receiving your first time donation to the Alcona FFA Alumni Association Scholarship Fund you will be added to our list of sponsors on the Alcona FFA Chapter website and you will have a wood plaque made depicting your name. All scholarship donation plaques are displayed in the Alcona Community High School year-round. Additionally, we will be continuing our tradition of verbal recognition of donations up to $499; and placement of an FFA pin for donations of $500 or more (or successive years equaling $500 in donations). Recognition of the Scholarship Fund donors and donation amounts will take place at the Alcona FFA Chapter's annual banquet in May of each year at the Alcona Community High School. We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating the successes and achievements of FFA members throughout this school year. Thank you for your support of the Alcona FFA Chapter!
